Yesterday UnBeige broke the news that Karl Lagerfeld was designing a collection for Macy's, and now WWD follows up with the details. The Kaiser will design a one-off line of womenswear as part of Macy's new collab initiative, which begins in February with British designer Kinder Aggugini. Lagerfeld's collection hits stores next September, and it sounds like it might not be his only foray into masstige for fall 2011—WWD reports that he's also "believed to be moving ahead with plans to create a new line based on the idea of 'mass elitism.'" We're going to go ahead and assume that makes more sense in German.
