Just as we said one week ago with the announcement of Comptoir des Cotonnier's impending arrival to Bleecker Street, who knew there were any retail spaces left around there? Well surprise, surprise...there are. The newest brand to throw their hat in the Bleecker game is M.A.C. Cosmetics, who'll be settling in for the winter between Gant and Sunglass Hut.
The store is due to open next month, just in time to sell a slew of ideal makeup stocking stuffers. It won't have all the flashiness of the also-new M.A.C. Times Square, but the West Village wouldn't stand for that anyways. M.A.C. should do well here, as the Magnolia Bakery tourists stroll by on sugar highs and with shopping on their minds, and there's a nice, cushy buffer zone between it and the nearest Sephora.
