Annie's Blue Ribbon General Store specializes in the kind of fun little items—fancy soap, kitchen timers shaped like chickens, Brooklyn-themed coasters—that come in handy during gifting season. They're based in a cute little corner in Boerum Hill, but as of Saturday they've popped up on Broadway between 88th and 89th Streets for a month-long holiday stay.

It's a perfect match: The Upper West Side gets to experience a taste of Brooklyn shopping, and Annie's gets to entertain a whole new demographic in a location that's three times the size of its State Street store. And so far, it sounds like it's working out pretty well. The shop blog reports that they're already sold out of inflatable fruitcake thanks to a mention in DailyCandy.
