Hell's Kitchen is slowly developing a menswear scene. The neighborhood Housing Works is aimed mostly at men; recent Critical Shopper subject Nepenthes is filled with masculine heritage brands; and now a third boutique, Tagg, has made west-side retail for guys an official trend. Tagg carries the tags of many brands, including Diesel, Fred Perry, Puma, and Casualties of Summer (they have a fuller list on their website). It's one of those stores that doesn't need much interior decorating; the clothes speak for themselves. A few floral arrangements scattered about, large and small piping structures, and overhanging lights give it that manly but trendy and modern feel.—Jena Glick
