Odin, one of New York's quintessential menswear boutiques, launched a brand new unisex scent last week—their fourth. Called 04 Petrana and developed by noted perfumer Jean Claude Delville, the fragrance sounds, well, complex. From the press release:
Transported to a Jordanian desert landscape covered in blooming Black Iris comes a floral scent that reveals its dark complexion from earth to air. The heart of Petrana emerges from a foundation of wild orris root and green violet leaf absolute. Herbaceous coriander, spicy pink pepper and deep purple cassis float above the blooms infusing luminous freshness.Yum, orris root! The fragrance—$110 for 3.4 ounces—is available at all Odin locations (as well as East Village girl-Odin Pas des Deux). But the big news is the entire Odin fragrance family debut at Barneys and a handful of top-tier European retailers.
