Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Another day, another new store heading West: this time, AllSaints Spitalfields is planning to bring its signature wall of sewing machines to a second location in Manhattan.

The British company, which opened its first New York shop in SoHo just over six months ago, is set to bring its leathers and asymmetrical frocks to the heart of the Meatpacking District. The 12,000 square foot duplex located at 411 West 13th Street will be the shop's second location below 14th Street, and with its new, higher end neighbors, a seemingly better fit for the brand.

As much as we hate to be the ones to say it, with Levi's Premium's doors barely open, AllSaints set to arrive and Sephora's concept shop on the way, the Meatpacking District is beginning to look like that silly little strip of Broadway just below Houston.

Though, the juxtaposition of SoHo's tourists scooping up as many clothing souvenirs against girls teetering in half-foot-high heels on MePa's brick roads will be so interesting that we might even encourage a Hollister to open a High Line shop just to see how it all pans out. Let's just hope there aren't crowds of families with cameras ready to start their day when you stumble out of The Standard as the sun's coming up.
