Asking beautifully dressed strangers if you could please just spend a couple hours hanging out in their closet on a random Tuesday night is generally frowned upon in polite society. And along those lines, you're usually not supposed to ask boutique owners to please sell you the clothes off their backs. So it's a good thing Jennifer Mankins of Bird recognizes that there's a market for her awesome hand-me-downs. Tomorrow night, she's hosting her third annual closet sale at her Cobble Hill location. Stop by between 5pm and 8pm for a shopping event that's one part style voyeurism and one part wish fulfillment starring pieces like a Mayle leopard-print sweater and a big, structural Zero + Maria Cornejo shrug (as per ThreadNY's sneak peek.) Wine and a 20% discount on fall merchandise only sweeten the deal.
