If you were planning on nabbing a camel coat from the new +J collection at Uniqlo, you may have to wait until Monday when the next shipment is expected. Though 75 percent of womenswear is in stock, the camel coat selection is depleting rapidly. We made the mistake of setting down a chic military-inspired camel number and within seconds it was whisked away by another shopper.
As far as the rest of the collection goes, sizes skew on the small to extra-small side, with a couple of larges and very few mediums. Oddly enough, the cropped wool jackets in black have only mediums and larges. The puffer coats are extremely plentiful in all sizes, They were literally everywhere, including the floor, the tables, and possibly the air — we swear we felt a projectile one whizzing past our head.
Menswear, as per usual, is much better stocked, though still skewing small. But gentlemen, take note: The menswear section is reduced to a lowly corner, and there were a large number of male shoppers snagging their luxurious yet affordable wool coats, with even more waiting in the continuously growing line. — Molly Vu
