In exactly one week, Barneys Co-op opens on Atlantic Avenue on the northernmost border of Cobble Hill. The launch is so near that the store now has mannequins, albeit naked ones. And progress is moving swiftly—the photo above was snapped last night, just one day after Bococaland photographed the same space sans dummies. (That yellow raincoat, however, is in both pictures.) Soon Barneys will start trucking in the clothes, and then the next thing you know, South Brooklyn will be a better place to shop—or an irretrievably gentrified Soho lite, depending on your point of view.
