Mayle Dress Nabbed

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you're thinking about stealing a dress, you might not want to swipe a one-of-a-kind leopard print frock from right under a designer's nose. Taken from the Mayle pop-up shop, the large-sleeved, backless dress in question apparently hadn't had its stock come in yet, so now there are just no more of them. No more! Not only did the perpetrator ruin a gorge Mayle design for the rest of us, who wants to get all glammed up in a backless dress only to have to disguise it with a belt, sweater, and a fake mustache?
