It's that time of the year again?when stores around the city prep for Halloween by transitioning their windows from what's most attractive to what's scariest. All this week we'll be peeking at ghoulish displays of boutiques of Bleecker Street. Next up, The Great (papier mache?) Pumpkin at RL Kids.
Aww, isn't this cute? Somebody constructed a giant pumpkin out of what looks to be papier mache, to join some nattily-dressed kids mannequins in the window of Ralph Lauren Children. Since this is a store for tots, that window can't be scary at all, and this hay patch scene is quite cute, although we doubt that any actual children are wearing Ralph Lauren corduroy overalls or a perfectly prim cape to their local farmstand this weekend.
This is about as tame as the Halloween windows get on Bleecker, and it's in strict contrast to the scary shite going on directly across the street at Ralph Lauren, but more on that later. Muwahahaha.
