Nordstrom. Is coming. To Soho. If you want to take a moment to track down a paper bag and breathe into it for a little while, that's cool, we'll wait.
According to Crain's, this is no ordinary Nordstrom. Instead, it's a concept shop with a charity angle: The store will donate all of its earnings to nonprofits. This will be the first and only such shop for the Seattle-based chain, and it sounds like many of the details haven't been worked out. "It is not yet decided if the outpost will feature exclusive merchandise," explains Crain's.
What we do know: The store will occupy over 11,100 square feet—or the first and second floors—of 350 W. Broadway. The space, in a brand-new building, is on W. Broadway between Grand and Broome, just close enough to make Bloomingdale's antsy. It will open to the public sometime next fall.
