Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
There are still two ticket-buying days left before you miss your chance to check out the Design Trust for Public Space's 2010 Benefit & Art Auction. The organization's ninth such annual gala, the evening features a VIP reception (we hear Tim Gunn is giving the toast), cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction featuring wares donated by the likes of Isaac Mizrahi, Yeohlee Teng, Vivienne Westwood, Knoll and David Stark Design—amongst many others. The party starts at 6pm, the silent auction at 7:30pm, and tickets start at $75.
We know it's for charity but stay the hell away from our Westwood.
