How many new shoes stores are opening in next couple months? A lot, that's how many. One of those furthest along is the Dr. Martens store coming to Spring Street, within spitting distance of the Kardashian's Dash, but somehow we doubt those clienteles will mix.
Inside the Doc store (which was previously and briefly a fancy watch store), they've uncovered a charming brick wall and hung some bare light bulbs to invoke an industrial look. It's far more Allsaints-y than Abercrombie-y, and that's a good thing.
It's a small space, but Soho shoppers looking for shoes are on the brink of being overflooded with options, so smaller may be better. Doc Martens will have some competition in its spot, even; the new Crocs flagship is across the street and Tretorn is next door.
