Prince Charles Fills London's Savile Row with Sheep

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Our jet-setting sister site is currently in London, where the streets are thronged with sheep. Why are there sheep roaming around Savile Row in front of the Lanvin store? Because Prince Charles put them there, duh. It's all a stunt to get people to buy British wool, apparently, and it's making us wonder why our national leaders never get involved in any wacky branding adventures. Just think: If only we'd lost the Revolutionary War, there could be farm animals hanging out on Madison Avenue right this very minute.
