There's been quite a bit of excitement around Rio de Janeiro these last few months, first from their winning the 2016 Olympics, and now everyone heading south to more tropical climes to ride out the winter weather. Our next bit of Brazil fever will come in February during the annual Carnaval celebrations, and Diane von Furstenberg is more than prepared for the debauchery.

While walking down the dark and dismal streets of the Meatpacking District on a 10-degree, blustery evening, the rich colors of their Carioca-inspired display attract, but then so do the male mannequins, elevated on stilts and wearing tassled headgear. Still, we shouldn't be surprised at this window at all, since the DVF collection is called "Her Name Is Rio," evoking the spirit of Ipanema. Our point? Oh yes?more optimistic and bright windows, please; these are the days we need them the most.
