Wang Takes to the Streets With First 'Guerilla' Ad Campaign

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Have you see Alexander Wang's first ad campaign? Don't look in the newest issue of a fashion magazine for it though, since the shots by Dan Jackson featuring model Hannah Holman in T by Alexander Wang are only hitting the streets of lower Manhattan, guerilla-style.

According the WWD, the posters will be plastered up around the city in celebration of the spring T collection, which hits his e-commerce site that day. Look for the posters in these locations, says WWD: "The designer hired National Promotions & Advertising, the agency responsible for those ubiquitous Apple iPod posters, to blanket the intersections of Third Avenue and 12th Street and Grand and Crosby, as well as random hot spots throughout the East Village and Lower East Side."

If Wang fangirls (and fanboys) decide to decorate their apartments with ripped-down ads, then fear not; the posters will be replaced weekly for four weeks, which nicely covers the primetime of Fashion Week.
