Let's step back and take a bigger look at what's happening on Seventh Avenue between 45th and 46th Streets, shall we? The block, which used to house the Times Square Virgin Megastore, is slowly become a retail juggernaut—just look at the photo above, which captures four newcomers in all their plywooded glory. There's the Disney store, of course, and there's the Forever 21 That Ate Manhattan, clocking in at 90,000 square feet, but those two spaces are flanked by even more new stores. On one side, we've got an incoming M.A.C.; on the other, a Swarovski. To review, that's makeup, toys, cheap trendy clothes, and glittery things, all lined up in a row. Throw in a hot dog cart for the bored and hungry dads, and you've got a perfect storm of tourist shopping.
