After last week's report that Bloomingdale's would be getting into outlet stores, it looks like Macy's isn't about to be the odd man out. They're waiting to see how things go with Bloomies first, and if it goes well Macy's might be joining the fray. "To me, Bloomingdale's was the first priority and a natural opportunity," said Terry Lundgren, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Macy's Inc., which is also the parent company of Bloomingdale's. But he added that although there were no immediate plans to open outlet versions for Macy's as well, "as we learn the business with Bloomingdale's, it could be something we consider."
