WWD has more on Canadian fashion mogul and Times Square billboard star Peter Nygård's war against the CBC. Being an international man of mystery, Nygård hasn't just sued the news organization in one single jurisdiction—no, he's got legal actions pending in three. In New York, he's claiming copyright infringement; in Manitoba, he's accused former employees of providing the CBC with confidential information; and in San Jose, he's somehow won the right "to subpoena from Google the IP address of a blogger who’d made unflattering remarks about Nygård on a Bahaman Web site." Maybe we should stop making fun of his 40th Street flagship, just to be on the safe side. [WWD; Previously]
