Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Choosy Beggar informs us that LES boutique First Among Equals will shutter at the end of the month. Hip, gothy FAE was founded in 2006—probably a rosier era for hip, gothy shops—and while it plans to close its Orchard Street doors on February 1st, its website will keep going. Till then, stop in for up to 80% off brands like Dunlin, Freemont, and Corpus.
