That's okay?neither did we, but Barneys did, and they've detailed the crazy creation on their brand-spanking-new blog, B-Sides. The young and hip folk at Barneys have only been writing since early December, easing into the blogosphere with declarations of their love for Celine handbags and Pierre Hardy boots, but it's nicely (and characteristically) quirky.
Although there a few mentions of products carried by Barneys, the bulk of B-Sides' focus is on the culture of the company. For instance, there's a post with pictures of one member of the Barneys team who wore Diane von Furstenberg for her wedding, accessorized with a headpiece specially created for her by DVF. And another story highlights the controversy behind the gay pride ornament that Simon Doonan hung on the White House Christmas tree.
But anyways, back to that solid chocolate leg... Judging on how the leg is displayed, who wants to bet that it's a gift from Manolo Blahnik? Very creative.
