Pop-Up Shops: Work on Gucci Begins in Soho

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Next month, Gucci opens a pop-up sneaker shop—excuse us, a Gucci Icon-Temporary store—at 43 Crosby Street in Soho. The shop opens October 23rd and carries 18 styles of shoes, including ones designed by Mark Ronson. Right now, workers are just beginning to set up the space, but eventually the storefront will be festooned with "a red GG logo that looks like it was spray painted graffiti-style on the surface," according to WWD. So you've got that to look forward to, Crosby Street.
