UPPER EAST SIDE—Tomorrow night Tim Gunn, the uncle we've always wanted, will be at Bloomingdales on 59th & Lexington to show everybody Kate Spade's new ready-to-wear collection. The event promises a chance to observe styling sessions and get a gift-with-purchase. More importantly, it says there will be champagne-sipping going on, which means it is really a chance to drink with Tim Gunn, and that's something we've been dreaming about since 2004. [Racked Inbox]
SOHO AND UPPER EAST SIDE—French designer Comptoir des Cotonniers has kind of a strange marketing strategy: Every season it holds a model search and picks a mother and daughter to be in their Paris runway show and advertising campaign. The next open call will be this Sunday at their two New York stores, so aspiring models should bring their mothers (or daughters, as the case may be) to either location. We recommend looking as relaxed, beautiful and French as possible. [Racked Inbox]
