Yesterday's comment from a reader who just can't take Marc Jacobs anymore prompted some passionate responses. From the pro-Marc camp: "You know who's overrated? Prada: What has she done that's so special and original these days? Karl Lagerfeld: There's another one content to rest on his laurels. He hasn't had an original idea since as far back as I can remember. He's not short on gimmicks to court press and controversy over his otherwise prosaic offerings either. Quilted bags to resemble ankle monitors? Tacky. Both are guilty of the very things commenters here are accusing Marc of, yet for some strange reason, do not garner quite the same level of vitriol."
