SOHO—In a clever marketing move, the ad agency behind the Palladium boots billboard on Broadway and Houston put together a time-lapse video of the ad being painted. You might recall Palladium's rubber-soled boots from the '90s; they've been around since 1947, and they were once worn by the French Foreign Legion. Now, they're attempting a timely comeback, hence the new billboards—there's another one on N. 6th and Bedford in Williamsburg. [Racked Inbox]
NEW YORK—If a stranger approaches you on Friday and says you should be a model, it might not be a line. Canadian leather company Fullum & Holt plans to stake out the city that day in order to find fashion civilians to model handbags for their spring 2010 lookbook. The brand, which has made bags for Alexander Wang and John Varvatos, clearly put some thought into their itinerary. Per the press release: "The search begins at 10AM on the Upper East Side as women head to work and continues to the Lower East Side, Soho and finally to the Meatpacking District, to capture women heading out for happy hour drinks." Check out the specific locations after the jump. [Racked Inbox]
