While we were uptown obsessing about Fashion Week, Jeremiah of Vanishing New York was tirelessly pursuing the Biography Bookshop beat. Biography, of course, is the latest West Village location to be taken over by Marc Jacobs. We'd heard he was going to turn it into a "lifestyle store," but now rumor has it that he's getting into the bookmongering business. Jeremiah's take: "But do the people who frequent west Bleecker these days even read books?" Ouch. [VNY]
