Freebie kiosks at the Bryant Park tents are one of the main ways fashion show attendees stay fed and watered, and now Sharpie has joined the party to keep us all clothed and entertained as well. The marker company is banking on fashion week by promoting its wares as part of the DIY fashion trend with a "Do-it-yourself bar." They're giving away white sunglasses, marker bags, headbands and T-shirts designed for the company by Betsey Johnson.
If you go over there, someone will give you something to decorate, a handful of markers, and tons of encouragement as you scribble enthusiastically away at something you'll probably never wear. It's kind of like a summer camp art project. Except at summer camp no one was distributing free cocktails, so it's kind of a whole lot better than summer camp.
