Liveblogging the Shows: Twinkle by Wenlan

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

In an effort to make reading Racked as much like being in the tents as humanly possible, we'll be liveblogging the shows all week, from the suspense of waiting in line (will the seats be any good?) to the drama of the runway (will anyone stumble?) to the post-show euphoria. This time around: Twinkle by Wenlan's whimsical collection.

Show location: The Salon at Bryant Park
The skinny: Feminine, light, flirty and wearable
Celebs spotted: Alex McCord of Real Housewives and Yin Chang, aka Gossip Girl's Nelly Yuki
The takeaway: Very trendy—exposed zippers, mixed patterns, pink and green a la Chanel—but also very wearable. The shapes were classic, but with a twist: Dolman sleeves, some creative draping.

12:09pm: I'm in! Patrick McDonald is in the front row wearing a hunter green trench that's a little more low-key than his usual attire.

12:18pm: Alex McCord of Real Housewives of NYC is here.

12:34pm: It's started! Random but sort of awesome celeb sighting: Yin Chang, aka Nelly Yuki on Gossip Girl.

12:37pm: Burnout silk pants!

12:40pm: Lots of colorful prints going on here.

12:44pm: And we're out! First impressions: Very feminine, very wearable.
