Bergdorf Goodman's 57th Street windows spent today nicely papered over as though the Elizabeth & James and Philip Lim mannequins were about to start an art project. In a couple hours, they'll be joined by Zac Posen, who is being installed to paint original creations as part of Bergdorf's Fashion's Night Out programming. He'll be behind the glass from 5:30 — 6:30.
Once you round the corner to Fifth Avenue, things get really freaky. Bergdorf will also be exhibiting photographs from Extreme Beauty in Vogue tonight, and it's gearing up for that by making enormous versions of some of the exhibition's most extreme photos and filling the windows with them, along with mannequins in Alexander McQueen, Yohji Yamamoto, and Ann Demeulemeester. One window was still shrouded in dark paper over, so all we caught sight of was a label promising Rodarte, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Lanvin, Kaufman Franco and Prada, and one mysterious mannequin foot teasing us with a really cute shoe.
