Wasson to the tents

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you've been following the New York Fashion Week gossip, you'll already be aware that Erin Wasson will be showing her collection for RVCA in the Bryant Park tents come September, rather than off-site with all the other cool kids. In a press release that's just dropped into our inbox, she responds to the chatter for the first time, saying "It’s almost too predictable to do something ‘cool’ in, like, an abandoned warehouse. Cool can happen anywhere. It’s a state of mind. That’s the essence of the Erin Wasson x RVCA brand, and there’s no reason not to follow that logic onto the runway.” A multi-media installation and "special musical guest" will be brought in to help put guests in said hipster state of mind.
