The New York Times profiles Youtube star Lauren Luke today. We caught up with the maven of on camera makeup tutorials last Friday at her makeup line launch at Sephora Times Square. According to the Times, Luke, a former taxi dispatcher turned modern day Avon lady, has a book deal in the works as well. And, "now, 20 months into what began as a D.I.Y. experiment, Ms. Luke’s videos have logged more than 50 million views and her YouTube channel has 250,000 subscribers in 70 countries — affirming her status, and that of YouTube, as a force to be reckoned with."
