Rodarte is partnering with Target to create 55 looks for the retailer's Go International series. Considering Laura and Kate Mulleavy, the sibling design duo behind the LA-based brand, are renowned within the industry for their ethereal high-fashion creations (typically painstakingly handcrafted evening looks) it will be especially interesting to see how Rodarte is re-packaged for a more mainstream market. According to WWD, the collection is "very feminine, yet very modern" and will include "holiday dresses," as well as knee-highs at $9.99 and a leopard print jacket for $79.99. Also on the docket: sequins, bows and faux fur. Needless to say we are eager to see how this plays out. [WWD, subscription req']
