RACKEDWIRE: Susan Boyle Models; The Zoe Report Rumors; Reality Stars Moonlight As ANTM Judges

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

NEWSTANDS--Harper's Bazaar's September issue features Susan Boyle in her first-ever fashion shoot. The singer and international reality star is pictured in a number of relatively tame ensembles, as the magazine wanted to present her as a "real" person. We support Jezebel's Sadie Stein's sentiment in saying we'd much prefer to see Boyle in Carolina Herrera than an affordable knock-off. [Jezebel]

THE INTERNET--Rachel Zoe's daily newsletter debuted yesterday, but, according to a tipster, not everyone who received it signed up for it. From our inbox: "i suddenly started getting the zoe report this morning, and although i'm too lazy to unsubscribe and found it relatively outrageous (as per usual)...i never signed up for it. i work for a designer and am guessing she had brad (because we all know taylor would never do that) hunched over a macbook scouring the web for e-mails, i dunno. i died, her e-mail was stupid beautiful and shut it down." TELEVISION--Failing as a designer won't keep Lauren Conrad from judging aspiring fashion stars for another reality TV show. The Hills star will be a judge on next season's America's Next Top Model, as will fellow reality TV star Kim Kardashian, says People. Also on board, a slew of real models including Chanel Iman, Kirsty Hume, Marisa Miller and Josie Maran. Phew. [People]
