The Zoe Report Drops, Looks A Lot Like Daily Candy

Rachel Zoe's weekly newsletter set to give predecessors like Goop and Daily Candy a run for their money is definitely taking cues from the latter in terms of both format and structure. With a small product photo placed to the left of an easily consumable two paragraph review, comparisons are inevitable. Today's debut edition reads like a short love letter to Brian Atwood's Lola Platform Pumps in classic Zoe style of course: "A striking leopard print, sexy elastic detailing and high platform—I DIE."

Not surprisingly, what sets The Zoe Report apart from the rest, is the introduction of new Zoe-approved lingo: "shootie = shoe + booty." (At this rate perhaps there'll be enough material for a full-on Zoe Dictionary in the future.) Not to mention the newsletter offers a steal counterpart to the Brian Atwood splurge ($680) in the form of Steve Madden's Vipperr Platform Sandals ($129.95). But, considering Zoe has been picking her favorite footwear for Piperlime for some time, this particular newsletter doesn't feel especially fresh. But, stay tuned. You never know when it might get bananas.
