Zara Goes High-Fashion For Fall

Zara is offering up some spot-on knock-offs for fall. From what we can tell from newly released images of some of the retailer's FW09 looks, there are both a dress and tuxedo jacket bearing the iconic Balmain big shoulder. A slouchy pair of trousers that easily could have been plucked from Chloe's FW09 runway have also made the cut. And there's a touch of faux fur (the real stuff was also widely incorporated on FW runways) for good measure, as well as a motorcycle-inspired leather jacket alternative to what Alexander Wang is hawking at a significantly harder-to-swallow price point.

Also slated to hit Zara's racks come September, a feather skirt just like the one Louis Vuitton showed for SS09 and puffed up shoulders and tightly synched waists just like Lanvin debuted for fall. In other words, it's Zara doing what Zara does best.
