Collabs: The Reformation (Re)Works Its Magic for Urban Outfitters

Not sure how this one slipped past our radar when it launched a few weeks ago, but no matter—The Reformation, a label helmed by designers Yael Aflalo and Chi Bui, has created a line called Reformed for Urban Outfitters. The brand, which uses vintage fabrics to create one-of-a-kind pieces, has its roots in a combination boutique/atelier on the LES.

A quick glance through the online offerings shows that the designs are pretty true to what you'd find in the boutique. The dress on the upper left, in fact, is pretty much an exact replica of one we tried on several months ago, from the print to the silhouette, the sleeves to the open back. Also of note is the fact that the prices aren't that much lower than those at The Reformation—known for keeping most items under $200 (with a hefty chunk even ringing in under the $100 mark). We'll probably stick with the real thing for now, but think that as UO collaborations go, this is one of the better ones we've seen in a while.
