Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The shopping excellence that was Refinery 29's Save Fashion pop-up shop departed along with spring, and since then the space?dubbed "Blank Sl8"?has sat still and empty awaiting its next pop-up tenant.
The "Design To Go" store is stocked with a range of eclectic goods, including items from Jack Spade, The Future Perfect, Retro Superfuture, Kiosk, Malin + Goetz, and Wallpaper. It opens today and will be around until September 26th. We happened to swing by a little too soon and caught them still in set-up mode, but you can peek at their tables for an idea of the animal pillows and rollerskate vases in store.
Areaware has their headquarters in Soho, and are perhaps most famous for their easy-folding Strida bicycle and for working with Kiosk. This shop will highlight their mobile products, so we're guessing that the Strida will make an appearance.
