It's Alive! Gilt Fuse Launches Today

The sales don't start for another hour or so, but Gilt Fuse is up and worth poking around. Aside from the more subdued color palette, it looks a lot like Gilt the Elder—it's clearly more of a spin-off than a separate site. This is good news for several reasons. For one thing, if you've got credits at Gilt, they'll carry over to Gilt Fuse. For another, Fuse keeps up Gilt's policy of giving you a $25 bonus whenever you sign up a friend, even though $25 goes much further with clothes marked down to under $100. The bad news, at least for guys and those who shop for them: Fuse is strictly for women. According to company PR, there's no plan to start carrying menswear any time soon.
