Just what Fifth Avenue needs: more mall stores. Swarovski opened yet another location this summer, on the heels of debuting their far ritzier Crystallized flagship in Soho at the end of June.
This time, however, the small shop sits in the old Sergio Rossi space next to Lindt and around the corner from the entrance to The Peninsula Hotel. What the location lacks in size, it more than makes up for in tourist impulse purchase temptation.
Christmas shopping for your out-of-state family will be a breeze this year: some polos at Abercrombie for siblings, a Swarovski crystal hummingbird for mom, and an Omega watch catalog and NBA store tchotckes for dad. We can hardly wait.
