It's been a while since we checked in on the Hermes men's shop taking shape across from their flagship store at Madison Avenue and 62nd Street, but today the Awl brings us photographic evidence of its recent development. The whole building is currently wrapped in orange like a giant Christmas present, though we can't say that it'll be open in time for Christmas. The company began renovating the location, which used to house Luca Luca, over a year ago, but who knows what's happening under that mysterious gift-wrap? Given that the recession has been relatively kind to Hermes, though, it ought to be something good.
