East Village nostalgists, prepare your grumbling: Marc Jacobs has named two fall '09 bags after St. Mark's Place. The hobo, which is available for pre-order at Bergdorf Goodman for $1,850, looks pretty typically Marc to us: Black and quilted, with a chunky chain. It's also studded "like most St. Marks denizens," as PursePage helpfully points out. Jacobs has also reinvented the Stam bag to better reflect the crustiest block between Houston and 14th Street, with cut-out patent leather and "strategically placed faceted jewels," according to bag blog Señora Cartera. That one can be pre-ordered from Bergdorf for $2,395, or approximately 26.6 John Varvatos Bowery t-shirts.
