Oh, Herald Square. Could you get any more suburban with your giant Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, and the denizens of Manhattan Mall? The answer is a resounding "yes" as JC Penney hangs the "no shoplifting" signs inside of fitting rooms and gives its sparkly red tiles floor a final buff.

The main entrance to the JC Penney, opening on July 31, will be one level down by escalators, underneath the giant red logo that now fills the Mall's atrium (pictured above). JCP is going big or going home, and from the looks of model stickers on their mezzanine, they'll be pushing downtown looks more than we expected.
