EVERYWHERE—Fashion illustrator and husband of Isabel Ruben Toledo has designed three dreamy covers for Penguin Classics. Above, please enjoy a highly un-Puritan version of The Scarlett Letter, a Tim Burton-esque Wuthering Heights, and a crisp black-and-white Pride and Prejudice. The books come out August 25th—expect to see them promoted heavily during Fashion Week. [RackedWire]
HERALD SQUARE—And the first pan of JC Penney officially hits the comments section: "Well let me tell you this is somewhere about six steps down from Macy*s and one step down from Target. Not much of anything was of any quality and the prices were high. I ended up paying $1.99 for 3 cheap pairs of boxer shorts (with the $10 coupon) that were on sale from $24.00. Problem is these are the same cheapie boxers that you can buy at K-Mart for about $7 or $8. I would never have paid $8 a pair for them, they are pretty much disposable, they would be great for vacation just to throw away." Click through for the rest; there's much more. [Racked Comments]
