SOHO—You might have seen seen Topshop's fall/winter '09 lookbook—it was on Refinery a couple weeks ago—but have you see it moving around? Above is the brand's video lookbook, complete with British band and studded hot pants. [RackedWire]
MEATPACKING DISTRICT—The same Times article announcing Gilt's expansion plans also contained more news about MAC's plans to sponsor shows at Milk Studios this upcoming Fashion Week. Basically, folks, what we're looking at here is a fashion schism. MAC says they're trying to provide a place for "emerging and international designers" who could use the financial boost of a big corporation behind them, but if you look at the names involved—Band of Outsiders, Preen, ThreeAsFour, Proenza Schouler, Erin Fetherston and Alexander Wang—it starts to seem like the cool kids have all just decamped to a new location.
