Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
That was fast; the ever-rotating pop-up space next to Gap's Fifth Avenue flagship is again reinventing itself. As soon as the Pure Body Yoga Studio they had going for the month ended today, in came workers to transform the space into a gallery with the artworks from Gap's Product (Red) designers.
The Product (Red) Gallery opens this Saturday, July 25 and will last through August 10. It's not without a retail purpose, however, as the art is being displayed alongside the artist's tees for Gap, which retail for $28, 50 percent of the profits supporting the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.
The Whitney Museum of American Art is also carrying five styles now through Aug. 30, but we like the pop-up idea and larger selection of Fifth Avenue so much more.
