Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

GRAMERCY—Paper Magazine curates a shopping event this Thursday night from 6pm to 9pm at the Housing Works on E. 23rd Street. Because it's Paper, the collection of vintage items on sale will include things like bumblebee-striped legwarmers and a cropped jacket of shiny brocade, and the musical accompaniment will be provided by DJs Andrew Andrew. It's free to attend; RSVP here. [RackedWire]

SOHO—We will admit that we were not entirely surprised when this landed in our mailbox: "I work on Prince and Houston, and passing the Hollister store twice a day is nauseating. I don't mind the fake lifeguard models standing in the front of the store (lord knows if they even know where Huntington Beach is), but they are pumping their cheap fragrance onto the sidewalk and it's overwhelming. I can only hope this is a temporary marketing move, because it sucks." [Racked Inbox]
