Word on the street—OK, in the comments section—is that for under $50, the petite among us can seriously make out at the Elie Tahari sale in the Meatpacking District. Writes a reader:

This is heaven for size 4/6 - tons of trousers all $19, blazers $29. Saw a lot of women picking up heaps of clothes. Sadly I wasn't one of them. Was upset that the mail from Prive said 'all sizes stocked'...it isn't fun schlepping all the way to Ninth and 15th!"

The tireless Sample Sally adds that she found outerwear for $39 and knits for $9. Also, guys are in luck: Apparently there's a bit more diversity in men's sizes.
