Today In Cryptic Signage: Coffee Coming Soon To West Broadway

Cozied into a curious spot at the back of Morgenthal Frederics Opticians on West Broadway and Spring Street is a small retail space which has remained dormant for some time. But hopefully not for much longer as a small piece of paper appeared recently, sporting a typical Manhattan cup of coffee and the optimistic words "Coming Soon."

We perused the building permits and leases listed online, but no luck in discovering the identity of the future tenant, who'll be possibly brewing next to Eileen Fisher. But will it be a coffee shop, and if so will it lean trendy or cozy? Damn their cryptic signage; the people must be kept abreast of Soho situations, especially where caffeine is involved.
