We know, online shopping is a far more enjoyable way to spend Tuesday afternoons than actually working. But it turns out those who subscribe to this tactic might be missing out on the best deals. E-newsletter Shop it To Me, which specializes in personalized sales alerts, analyzed 70 retailers over one year to find out when the deepest discounts were applied to various items. Their verdict? Unless you're shopping for a handbag, marked down the most on Tuesdays, it's wise to hold the surfing until at least Friday. This is when prices on jeans, shirts, dresses and shoes hit their lowest levels—which, as LA blog All the Rage points out, is also payday. What a weird coincidence.
